Taxify was set up by two friends, Jim and James, who launched Taxify’s sister firm, Taxbuddi, in 2021. Taxbuddi began as a small team in a barn office, with the aim of helping employed people claim back tax on their work related expenses, that had left them out of pocket.

As Taxbuddi grew, we realised how many people did not fully understand the tax system. Many individuals don’t fully understand their tax allowances, meanwhile some allow themselves to become stressed whilst trying to find their way through the maze that is a self assessment tax return. This sparked the idea of expanding our services and Taxify began to assist self-employed individuals. Our aim is simple: help as many individuals as possible to file their tax return.
